Juliana Antwi is the Clinic Coordinator for the North Dakota Perinatal Quality Collaborative (NDPQC) at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences, where she leads statewide quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving maternal and infant health outcomes across diverse healthcare settings. In this role, she coordinates multi-site implementation efforts, supports clinical teams across both birthing and non-birthing facilities, and advances data-driven strategies to strengthen perinatal care systems, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
Her work focuses on improving access to high-quality, patient-centered maternal care, with particular emphasis on maternal mental health, postpartum care, and addressing disparities affecting rural and vulnerable populations. She has led and supported multiple initiatives including provider training programs, system-level assessments, and the development of resources to enhance care coordination and emergency readiness across North Dakota’s healthcare landscape.
In addition to her work with NDPQC, Ms. Antwi serves as Chair of the Public Health Systems and Practices Section of the North Dakota Public Health Association (NDPHA) and Co-Chair of the statewide Public Health Mentorship Program. Through these roles, she contributes to strengthening the public health workforce by fostering leadership development, mentorship, and cross-sector collaboration across the state.
Trained as a physician, Ms. Antwi holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from North Dakota State University. Her interdisciplinary background bridges clinical medicine and public health, allowing her to translate evidence into practice and drive meaningful systems change. She is committed to advancing equitable maternal and child health outcomes and ensuring that all families have access to safe, respectful, and high-quality care.
She earned her M.B.Ch.B. from the University of Ghana School of Medicine and Dentistry and her M.P.H. from North Dakota State University.
